This young lady gladly posed along with this old dead Joshua tree. I find the contrasts interesting, in that the soft life against the cold hard dead tree reminds us of the ravages of time.
Wow Michael...what a creative mind you have...I agree that the contrast is striking, yet I see the the tree protecting life from the harshness ie: the branches arcing over her! The contrast between the sky & the rock is neat too. Good job. Thanks :~)
An excellent capture Michael! Well framed and thought out. At first I thought this was an eastern exposure of a California bristle cone pine. The shape of the tree is amazing along with the placement of the woman. The combination of the aging wind warn tree and the young girl is a great contrast to each other. Very well done.

Very interesting! From the thumbnail in the gallery, I had no idea the girl was in it! I like her pose, lying on the dead tree, interesting piece! Great job as always!
oh wow, at first i thought it was just a stone and a small gnarled bush, but upon opening it up i saw the lady there, what a surprise. i like the contrast.
I see I'm behind time on this image! Love these, what I call, unique shots. The girl blends in with that branch beautifully. Sorry to see the Joshua tree is dead-but it's great for pictures. I like the way the sky blends from dark to lighter blue. Nice & clear and the shadow play is good. Thanks for this lovely capture.
A little cheesecake with the landscape! I know, everone is a critic; but I'd loose the shoes.
I was looking at this and wonder if that tree was "famous?" Seems I'd seen it before.
