I was calling coyotes, with a wounded rabbit recording, from a hide. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and turned my head very slowly and spotted this Bobcat. I managed to get my camera around and get this one image. As I took his picture he heard the shutter. He then moved out-of-sight and that was the last I saw of him. It was a very lucky capture of a very secretive animal.

Great Shot ... You can hear what he's thinking. But I don't speak bobcat so I can't help you with that.

Wonderful shot! Pity that the light was a bit flat. I played with it in Photoshop and it can take some tweeking, but no matter it is just one of those magical moments when preparedness meets opportunity. Great work!

first a lynx, then a bobcat with your wounded rabbit recordning? you had had a whole company there, ehhehe :)

and for the image - great details and such a clean shot.. and the focus is on the cute little fellow because of the blurry background and i like it! what an adorable scene, heh :)

This image is amazing in every aspect. The bobcat being in focus with everything else blurry. Really draws your attention to the subject. I also like how it is off-center. Gives us the sense of really being there, like the bobcat is coming from the side of the computer screen. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Great shot Michael. I saw this in featured images and had to fave it. I live where there are many of them, but have yet to see one. I squirrel and deer hunt but they always elude me. I now have a zoom lens so maybe one day I will run across one.
