Dont be sorry Michael...never apologize for beauty like this...I am still hoping one day to go see these hills....your photos of them are spectacular...and the colours just amaze me. Its like a dreamland....
It looks like a painting, I like the illuminations in the foreground, they draw attention to the rocks and stones and lead my eyes in the direction of the sand dunes. But sorry, the yellow frame wasn't a good choice.
I think the yellow frame actually was a good choice. It brings those yellow flowers (I suppose those are flowers) in between the hills out that I so love in these images. Great images. They look so soft - and I can't image those hills being "soft" at all. But, these images make them appear that they are. What gets me on this one is not only the yellow flowers?? but the white...perfect composition. Love it.
I love this magical place. Do you know anything about the geology? I'm wondering about the color layers that are so prominent. Irons and salt deposits? I'll have to do some internet searches. I love the slight reflective surface of the foreground. It makes me think of water eons past. And like Tracy, I always like the ribons of yellow that highlight the creases.
Gorgeous, Michael. I guess you manipulated the colors. Tones like that can't be natural. Those soft blends at the edges of the ridges are just to die for too. I love this image.
