Is he a neighbor of yours? Guess it's a noisy time of the year :) Beautiful Elk. Great gathering of colors in the background. Neat how those two skinny trees make a doorway for him to stand in. Terrific image. High marks for sure.....

Love that open mouth. I can just hear him bugling. A magnificent animal to. Look at his bulk. He's a beauty. I like the capture of the light on his hind quarters. Those two vertical sticks bug me. I would have been tempted to edit one or both of them out and ...oops, no, can't edit the left one out. It's cutting through his hips. The right one could be and then with a little cropping we would have a larger view of this beautiful animal. As is, great capture any way you look at it.
