When these plants first come up they are just beautiful. Give them a week or two and the bugs will almost eat them to the ground. This one was photographed in the high Cascade Mountain Range in Washington State.
Wonderful shot, I like how the light glows through the leaves giving it a soft look to it. The colour choice on the border really fits the image. Great work!
The back lighting is incredible here Michael! Are these flowers that would bloom if the bugs didn't eat them or are they a leafy green plant? Do they grow int he higher elevations or closer to the base of the mountain range. I want to come back to Washington State and explore it some more. We definitely did not have enough time to spend to do everything we wanted to....
okay, back to the image...........this is a definite reminder that Spring is here in full force. The color of the leaves is so indicative of new growth and the lighting accentuates that very much. I also like the angle that you shot these at...and that they are somewhat 'stacked' to give them height? Excellent image my friend. :~)
My best & my prayers to DiAnn for the morning...
Exceptional lighting on these. I don't believe I've heard of these before Michael. Would love to see a flowering one if it can withstand being devoured by the bugs. Such a nice photo.
Corn lilies...that's a new one to me. Yes, the lighting is a pleasure to view in this composition. Too bad about the bugs doing them in so quickly. The contrasts beteen the shades of green are very nicely captured as well.

This almost looks like it was painted - Simplicity with elegance. Such beauties! The green shade is nicely lighted with the shadows-good contrasts there - I like the lines showing on the plants. This is one of the most lovely plant images I've seen on this site. Thanks!
Awesome picture of a beautiful flower. Convallaria majalis isnīt it? I have Convallaria in my horse field. I had too put up some fence so the horses not step on them :)
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

I've seen some of these up in Vancouver, Wa. and just love them. THey really looklike they will all grow up to be corn ! And of course by you using the sunlight as a backlighting it makes them even more beautiful. Thank you for sharing this beauty...V
