This was taken near a long abandon town in the Goodnow Hills area along the Columbia River. The trees in the background are cherry trees. These are part of what's left of one of the earliest orchards in Washington State. The mountain framed by the cherry tree is Mt. Hood in Oregon State.

Very nice picture, well done. I was in Mt.Hood range on the Washington side last weekend but it was just too hazy for a good telephoto shot. Got some good Mt.Adams.

Well Michael, you've got it all in this view - clarity, composition and details- super job! The brush and grass catch ones interest immediately..and the tree to the right adds abit of framing. Those cherry trees in the distance add more beauty - and Mt. Hood is splendid raising in the background, with its lovely snowcone top. All the colours are very pleasing with their green and browns..and of course, the blues. Many thanks for a gorgeous view :*>
