I was looking at different angles to shoot these Elephant Ears and ended up behind them. With the light shining through the veins stood out and the textures just came to life. I hope you enjoy.
Now this is just my kind of shot - sharp and detailed, with great use light, simple but elegant... Jsut what I tried to produce many times and never got it... Now it goes straight into my favorites.
Magnificient shades of green! Plants are so amazing when one is able to get such a great macro of them. I just love the soft curves that surround the leaf. And the intricate life lines.
You've certainly captured a beautiful plant here. Thank you so much, and right onto my desktop for a glowing satin look. V
Wow, this is so beautiful! There are so many awesome elements to this - the composition, the lighting, the color and the texture! Straight into my favs and onto my desktop right now. Thank you!
very serene. Vividly green. I would like to see it unframed. If it's to be used as a computer desktop the frame makes it harder to see thing. With the black frame it looks like you were getting ready to make one of those inspirational posters.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Wonderful close-up - perfect angle to show the beauty of the leaves - colour is wonderful too ans is the shape of the leaves as you've presented them. Terrific and definitely a 'me' kind out shot, thank you.
We are like people looking for something they have in their hands all the time; we're looking in all directions except at the thing we want, which is probably why we haven't found it.(Plato, 380BC)
