While sitting here tonight with nothing better to do I decided to take several of my older images and play around with them in PhotoShop, Paint Shop and Picasa.
Let me know what you think about my little experiment!
Hey Michael,
There is a delicacy about the shot that is attractive. The contrast of colour and grey scale is great, I'm just not sure if you got the positioning of the colour "just right".
I saw this in the VB Michael and gave it the highest score of my voting today! Very beautiful and on my desktop! Very creative - would make a fantastic picture for my wall. Keep on experimenting! :)

Hello Michael..how good it is to see a posting of yours. I have missed them very much.I like the experimenting you've done here.
It's for sure a lot of fun. I use both programs quite a bit to try things. I like how you've hilighted the green and the red, and added the dewdrops. It's as tho you actually are in the process of painting the whole image. And, of course, you were always the inspiration for the framing. Thank you so much for posting this creation. So good to see it. Verena
i prefer this one to the other, the selective colour works well , stylish and artisic, i think i would remove the green from the leaf beside the flower and just keep the colour onto the main bud though.
I love it and I think the c-index is low. I just had it in the VB and scored it much higher. It works as a desktop - plenty of room for icons - but I just LOVE the unique look of the the flower. Unless you blurred it just for this project it appears you have excellent control on the DOF also!
Well done.
Rich
~~Edit: Just peeked through your gallery...what lovely works are found throughout!
I would title it..."Hey Bud..stop that crying." LOL. I like that focal B&W tool in Picasa. It's fun to play with, but I have never gotten it to look as good as this on anything. Very nice work.
