Don, for a picture that is perhaps special to the photographer, it is difficult to express an outside opinion. These colours are nice... I did download it and had changed it to B&W with the idea of telling you about LynEve's B/W Wednesday Challenge but I so much preferred the colours of this image that I gave up on my idea.

If your goal was to have an artistic shot... the nest should not have been centered so much, but then you probably know that and took it with another goal in mind!

I think this is a first for me. I just noticed that your birthyear is 1942... the same as mine, only I am a year older 'cause I'm a Februarian!  ☺

First of all I'm happy to know that there are two people born in 1942 that know how to operate a computer and can still shuffle around to get a few pictures. Personally I agree about the composition. A little off center adds interest. I also would have added some color saturation although I'll admit that the bleak mood is more suited to the muted colors.

Nice details and focus work in the photo Don. I like the muted tones in the image.
