Loads of atmosphere in this wonderful capture Don.

I love it, and therefore it was S+F by me. Thanks my friend.

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

When I was a kid my father would occasionally take us on fishing trips to distant lakes and islands in Manitoba, Canada. Coming from the Northern Plains of the U.S., I found forests where the trees grew right down to the shore to be fascinating, exotic and beautiful. Add a little morning fog to this photo and I'm right back there; 10 years old and hoping for a bite at the end of my line. -Nik

This is a beauty, with a kind of silvery light falling through all the pine trees down to the water...

Is that someone out there fishing?

This image reminds me of Longfellow's Hiawatha:
Dark behind it rose the forest,
Rose the black and gloomy pine-trees,
Rose the firs with cones upon them;
Bright before it beat the water,
Beat the clear and sunny water,
Beat the shining Big Sea Water...

Congrats on this wonderful shot, Don...love the composition, mistiness, and moodiness...as Sandi said, you might consider it for the current contest.

If you stare at an orange juice container because it says, "CONCENTRATE"...you might be a redneck.
