When I was a kid my father would occasionally take us on fishing trips to distant lakes and islands in Manitoba, Canada. Coming from the Northern Plains of the U.S., I found forests where the trees grew right down to the shore to be fascinating, exotic and beautiful. Add a little morning fog to this photo and I'm right back there; 10 years old and hoping for a bite at the end of my line. -Nik
