Door at the south of St Marys Church, Minster, founded in 1150 AD I bet this door has seen a few interesting sights in its time.

It looks like they haven't been opened in a while judging from the cobwebs. A good capture Paul. Lovely colour and textures in the photo. Wonderful stonework construction in the church and nice details in the wooden door. Thanks for sharing, ~Wendell

Just as a point of interest Wendell the red bit in the wall is Roman Brick/Tile it is quite common for Roman buildings to be reused at a later date.

I would have to agree with you. I bet that door has seen many interesting things. Plus, it was definatly built to last. Great photograph showcasing this interesting piece of history.

Beautiful shot and I love the color of the bricks. I was wondering if the photo might be angled? It seems the door is dipping down and to the right a bit. The door might be slightly off centered as well.
