I like this image Philip; the detail in the flower is awesome. What lens are you using and what format (digital or film)?
While the main subject is sharp and appealing, the secondary image is everything the main subject isn't. There is always a question I ask of myself when taking such an image: does the added part add any value to the image by making it a stronger and more appealing image or does it detract from that value.
In this case it is my opinion, (remember that art is subjective. While I may feel that it adds no value, you may think it does AND THAT'S WHAT REALLY COUNTS).
