A beautiful lily, Philip...a bit of a shame it is not entirely seen though, and for my tastes, I might prefer a different color border...even a darker shade of green perhaps?.:Pat.
Wonderful, personally I like the composition to this. I also think the light border works very well. It's an image that could work with any colour border, within reason:). Great work.
I like it this way. Cutting off part of the flower allows my mind's eye to become more invioloved with the image filling in what's not there. Also the border color is a sort of inverse color to the flower. Very creative. Also I would like to point out something else you did well here. You isolated your subject visually, so nothing else clutters the image.
Haha, ya everyone has thier own tastes. I love the focus and where it is. I think the composition is nice as this affords the most attention I feel on the black spots and reproductive parts of the Tiger Lily. I may have even cropped bit more of the bottom so there was not a full view of any petals...all or nothing. perhaps that was Pats vision? The frame is a filler in this case and must be looked at lightly;-) Nice vision Philip:-)
Wonderful capture of the flower! I agree with regmar that the cropping works very well. I would have liked a darker border, maybe even black to highlight the vivid color of the flower. Nice job!
Pure beauty. I just love flowers. I really dig the style of this. The light green border is ok. but personally i think it would look better black. but thats just a suggestion.
