Philip, this is an excellent capture. I really like the fact that you were able to maintain the actual lighting conditions and still get a good deal of detail. Beautiful bird, reflection and water.

Good use of the light you had. The low light gives it a nice mood. You haven't got that 400/2.8 yet lol:-)

Lovely shot - the low light is very effective. I've always struggled to photograph coot in sunlight - the contrast between the black plumage and white shield is just too much, and the detail gets lost in one or the other. This is very nicely done :-)
