This photo was taken from Fort Nepean, Victoria, Australia. Point Nepean was once a major fort protecting Port Phillip Bay and fired the first of Australia's bullets in WW2 and the first for the entire British empire in WW1.
The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken.

Great shot. I am missing summer time so this capture is right up my alley. I like the colours of the water with different shades of turquoise... Congratulations
Hi there. Its a good vantage point you have chosen to take this shot. I like the color patterns on the water since its bit strange and eye catching. And you have managed to show a good distance on the whole. By the way thanks for the history information too.
I'm asking myself how I missed this photo...Anyway, magnificent photo, David. I wish I was on one of those boats down there, I love sitting in a boat on a hot summer day.
Hi, I stood in this spot when i was on holiday visiting my mum who lives nearby. It is a wonderful place and I have it as my background now. Thank you for reviving the memories. Urs
