The world was gold and orange, and as I crossed these strange fields, I met only a single figure. But they weren't solid, nor did they take up space..... from what i could tell they were a shadow from the second dimension. Their only protection against this ferocious golden sun was an umbrella. They had a long way to go.. a very long way to go yet before they could get home.

Hay Dude. This is a hot looking manipulation. I like the warm colors you have used and the picture it self. Feel like the white portion is too big though. Good work.

I think you have made a photo which compliments your tale very very well....good job! the white hot is ok in context of the "ferocious golden sun"----one would expect it to be brighter on the landscape so good effect here.alo really like the figure....just right for pose

I like the strong dramatic feeling here. And the definite dreamscape that has come from this photo. The colours are "burning hot" it seems. Nicely done. The figureine with the umbrellas of course sets the whole scene... Verena

Ok: True story.....I was in voting booth....saw this....first reaction was WOW....
Then I stared awhile...picked it apart for anything and everything...came up with a score of 10, only because there was nothing higher. Then...had to finish voting, but afterwards...had to click on THIS to see who did it. And you think it's not GOOD?
You really are "postal"...dude! :) It is excellent. Congratulations! Best wishes in the contest!

Excellent entry David, the effect you put on it is spot on. The golden feel to it is also very good, best of luck into the contest friend!

Very good story for this image. This does have a haunting appearance, but I don't feel any fear.Wonderful lighting and interesting orange/gold color.I like all the blurred surroundings-definitely the feel of a dream. The figure is mysterious and the umbrella very pleasing. Wonderful work you've done. Thanks David :*>

Oh my ... this manip is very moving! For some reason I feel a sense of sadness from it ... not in a bad way, more of a melancholy type feeling.

Hi David. I think you have done a very great job on this piece. It has a clean look even though it has been filtered. It's nicely put together. I think the dream aspect is very well applied here and has a wonderful result. It makes me think of dreaming about a loved one who perhaps has passed. Don't take that as a negative, to me this is a very positive image. It has a touch of the spiritual to it. Good luck..................Amaris

The composition and textures are wonderful. The bright highlights definitely give the feel of a dreamstate. Well done. anne

Great nostalgic feel to this picture. The sepia tone with the slight out of focus touch give it that old dreamy syle you appeared to be looking for. Kudos on a great capture!
