One of the most known stones of the city of Cuzco, the old capital of the empire Inca. It possesses perfectly adjusted 12 sides. Impossible to slip a credit card in joints. It measures ± 1 m²
Excellent shot. Just got back from Peru and saw the 12 sided stone in Cuzco. Loved the use of the Inca walls by the Spainards. Colonial Spain built many buildings on top of the Inca walls. During the great Cuzco earthquake in the 1950's, much of the colonial architecture came tumbling down. The Inca walls were left standing!
I've been there once before and i marvel at all the work that had to go into hauling all those stones up to the incan village of machu piccu. is that how you spell it? Anyway , it was fascinating.
