Beyond the Staples Center you can see America,
With its tired, poor, avenging disgrace,
Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality,
Of plastic existence.
Your artistic eye is very good..The angle is perfect, nice idea...The sky has a a bit of noise,i think its caused by the night, but who cares! Great photo.. ; )
woow! there it is! this one i ve been looking for since i found caedes.. i saw it once and then forget its title.. i am happy now.. must i say that it is awesome and powerfull, yet it contains some warmth.. bravo mr.piggeon and thank you..
Sorry, I could only give you a 10, even though this picture deserves more! Going in my favs. Too bad we can't see this today. Your title is right on this image. We don't know what we had til it's gone. We still pray for the unlucky and innocent ones. God Bless!
It's morbidly funny but on 9/11 I was going to school (hours before the chaos) and I was looking at the whole skyline and thinking to myself "That's an incredible picture, I should take it someday." But yeah this is an awesome shot.
So many thoughts and feelings come to mind in looking at this...all the more so that it was taken July 2001...needless to say it is sobering and heartwrenching...that aside, it is quite spectacular in its' perspective, golden color, and contrast against the black
sky. : Pat.
Fantastic the way the golden color of the buildings sets them apart from the overcast sky reflecting the glow from below. Too bad I missed going there while I could have, but that would have been bad timing to say the least.
Wonderful capture. I like the oblique perspective, it really adds interest to the shot. I ate dinner once at the top of the WTC. The food was decent but of course it was the view that was truly delicious. I visited the site recently for the first time since 9/11and just couldn't believe the towers weren't there. It's impossible to imagine how a resident New Yorker must feel. Again, terrific shot.
Wow! I haven't seen such an incredible shot of the WTC since 9/11. It brings back such horrid and blessed memories. One of my cousins is a firefighter who was called to help in NYC; he made it out. One of my teachers who was also called, did not make it out alive.
