While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see. --Dorothea Lange

Great shot! I was always fascinated by the works of Gaudi, and you capture them in an awesome way. But how did you get the picture without masses of tourists? ;-)

Haha! I arrived very early. 5 minutes later, there were 30 Japanese to the same place...
Thanks Mia & Tieneke :-)

Imagine if Gaudi hadn't lived in Barcelona... it just wouldn't be the same at all. One of the places I intend to visit in the future.

Awesome capture Pierre! I love the intricate design & color on the benches that you brought to us! I don't know that I have ever seen such beautiful places for the public to sit!!! Good clarity & color & the composition gives me the feeling of being there! Thank you :))

I like the repetitive pattern of form broken up by the variations in colour on this one. I find the figure a bit of a distraction (although not as much as 30 Japanese would have been!), but he's well placed in the composition and the direction he's facing helps draw the eye into the image.

thaks for you comment on 'Parc Güell, Barcelona'. Gaudi truly is great. This pic's nicely captured you can see many mosaics. Too bad we hadn't enough time to spend more time in the park (only about half an hour, when we stopped to eat with our class. damn those teachers!!).

Agree. Comfy is not their best quality, but you feel a real happyness when sitting, because it is a peaceful place and the view of the town is fantastic. Thanks Svec :-)

Checking out your spectacular gallery, and came upon this unique image. How nice to see unusual public benches. Looks like a fine place to catch some sunrays. :) Wonderful craftsmanship - fine inlaid pattern and colors. Thanks for the information too :>
