Nice crystal image. A darker background would have brought out the subject better. Nice job.

I agree. The bright spots in the background can distract from the subject, but still a great shot!

The background tends to make me spend a bit longer checking it out. I think it works out nicely. Good shot, Pierre.

It's definitely this one of the two today for me. I love the structure of the strands of crystals as they form.

Yet again: I think this is a wonderful photo just as the other. It's got a bit better of a rating at least. I give it an 80. It's a good photo, but the clarity is a bit less than the other Miracle of Nature photo. It is still good work though. Thank you for sharing.

Such a fantastic shot! It looks very nice with the black frame as well.

I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.

Hmmm, frozen perspiration. Very delicate. Goes a long way to tell how alive nature is.

Agree with Russ...the foreground is really strong, interesting lines and shapes, but it gets caught up a little bit in the background. However you have to take what nature gives you, unless you have an assistant with a black velvet cloth whenever you're shooting pics like this.

Pierre, I love this image-especially in July! The ice crystals appear as if 'Jack Frost' sprinkled sugar on the branch. The background, pretty blurred effect, gives this image an extra beauty boost. I like that faint lavender color too.Very nicely framed. More creative work..thanks!!
