To be honest Pierre – I much prefer this shot to the orchids – the colours seam much more balanced with the deep blues and greens offset by the crisp white although I realise that may be just a personal taste issue. V.well done on the clean white flower – hard to get something so white without scorching out detail excessively.
Hello Pierre...I love how you had the sun shine right onto the flour so perfectly, to bring out the crips white. And the fact that I can visualize you nearby working out how to take this photo!...(smile) did you get wet? or maybe you used a nice zoom. I agree with Phil about how beautiful the greens and blues go together. But I LOVE the way all the leaves wind around and then the straighter leaves just seem to focus on the whole thing. You know this is a Morning Glory..and here they take over trees and plants and fences and even the grass. So I dont much like the flower, but out in the wilds they are so pretty..especially near water like this . I love yur photos my friend!! I wish you well!!
My very first thought was how nice it is to see a crisp white flower that isn't overexposed. The rich greens and blues are an added treat to this composition. Personally, I welcome morning glories all around my home and yard. The only distraction for me is that one blurry stalk in the way back. Easily removed but hardly a big threat to the pretty photo. Well done.
Excellent photograph; it has almost no faults, and the subject and composition and your eye are excellent, as usual. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the exposure maybe could have been down a third more... just a hair... to get a little more detail in the flower. But then you're sacrificing the background and the plants, so that is a hard call. The flower's not overexposed though, and the contrast is stunning. Also love the lighting on the greenery and the bit of reflection on the water. The background really makes this interesting. Wonderful photograph, I just can't stop saying good things about it.
Very good pic pierre , the flower and the water make a perfect pair.
Strange , everytime i give high votes on pic it turns out to be 5 times out of 10 one of yours.
That tells me your are very good at what you do , keep it up.
An exquisite photo.especially the "romance" between the white linen of the flower and the intensity of the blue/greens.......great image...I do wish the White had a touch of very very pale blue to contrast with the white, but as phil noted, it is difficult to photo a bright white without washing out the detail.......I have tried !! Works if one uses a polarizing filter......
