Breathtaking photo. It looks like a toy village at the base of the mountains. Splendid!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Wonderful shot ! The Walensee is a lovely lake, with the Churfisten massive towering above it. Thanks for this posting !

What a wonderful view, it looks like an ocean inlet of cloud, and has quite a surreal effect. Excellent.

Very difficult to choose which one of your two posts I like the best. Frankly, I cannot. I love them both. the cloud cover in the vally is awesome. Those houses above the clouds see this as a sunny day. If there are any people under the cloud cover, it is a lousy day. Love the perspective. Another keeper.

Yes, people live 'under the cloud cover', but that cloud wasn't there 2 days after...

Oh I love the little houses, that give such wonderful perspective to the mountain view !! And as you know, we have cloud coverings like this over the ocean where I live....its always such a magical feeling to know there is water 'under' the cloudcover...and these mountains, wow! Once again, thank you Pierre for getting out as you do and sharing with us such beauty!! Verena

A fine scenic view of the mountains and valley. Makes a very good wallpaper image.

Nice capture Sir. But I would trace out behind the fourground and increase the contrast to give it more depth.

Was it quite early in the morning? The fog looks like candy-floss, all around the valley - making the scenery quite surreal. And still high up in the mountains the transparency of the air is amazing. Great desktop for the winter, while the temperature here is still high above 0°...
