What a magnificent view with the brutal texture of the rock so clearly depicted. I can’t help wondering what the two white things on the river are, boats?

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

Yes Robert. They are boats, not big seagulls... ;-)
Clay: the very poor contrasted background gives the depth with the very contrasted rock IMO.
Thanks guys for your excellent feedback :-)

This is a photo and a painting all in one, my friend ! The softness of the snow and the hardness of the rock...just amazing. You are just amazing with these types of photos. Thank you so much for posting it for us all to share...Verena

I like the sobriety of this, the 'desaturation' of colors. a quiet, impressive place wonderfully captured^^

Pierre, this is just amazing. The grandeur of the scene is hard to get a grasp of. I would really like to be there to take in the whole experience.
