Captured this photo on the trek to Kodachadri mountains. Image is slightly cropped, to make the flower more visible. I don't know which flower is this. All comments are most welcome.
Nice colors and a nicely blurred background. A little sharper focus on the flower would make this really outstanding. The soft focus, though, does give it a nice look preferred by some viewers. Well done, P.
Beautiful image Prashanth, it almost looks like a Scotish thistle, but not really sure. Great clarity in this close up capture and detail, like the softness of the background really showing off this bloom
The diagonal arrangement of the flower is very attractive and professional looking. The boke ( blur ) of the background came out very nicely as well. The flower does lack the kind of sharpness that would really make it stand out. The most likely cause would be too large of an aperture. A large aperture narrows the depth of field and makes for great blurred backgrounds as you have provided us here. In this case however the depth of field may have been so small as to not be able to capture the full depth of the flower. Experiment with the aperture on your lens shooting something similar to this flower and see what a variety of images you can get from a single subject. For a fist trip out with your first real camera I would have to say your doing fantastic.
Hey Prashanth
This thistle really comes out at ya! Nice greens on the flower and in the background. I always liked the color that these little flower have!
