Well, I don't want to be critical, but I can tell you what my eye wants. I would like the flower to take up more of the photo and to be on the left side of the photo rather than in the center. I do really like what you've presented. Do the flowers smell as pretty as they look?
Maybe crop some off the top and to the left of the blooms to bring the flowers more into the photo. You could probably lose a little off the right as well. Good clarity and focus work in your photo, Prashanth. Beautiful colours in the jasmine. Thanks for sharing.
I really like how you included the part in the foreground that has no blooms. It almost looks 3D in that area. I like the slight darkened look, and it makes me think of an overcast day. Very nice color. Well done, P.
This is a very nice shot of the blue (unusual) jasmines. The flowers are well placed diagonally. You could have perhaps changed your focus mode from spot to another mode to get more of the plant in focus. But also this way it looks quite nice to me.
Very nice photo of this blue flowers. To improve this shot, I can only say 'the flowers may be put uncentered in composition'. Blurred background is very nice. Some blurred flowers in background look very good and add value to your photo. I don't think focus is a problem. Unlike some others in this site, I think photograpy art doesn't need 'calendar quality' sharp focus on every point in the frame. Blur is a part of photograpy art. Very good work, Prashanth.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I agree with both Wendell and Tanju. I love your narrative. You'll never improve if everyone tells you how wonderful all of your postings are. "Beautiful shot" doesn't help much unless you need your ego stroked. I'm not as familiar with Tanju's critiques although his gallery is spectacular. I do know that Wendell typically pulls no punches; so I'd listen to him.
To summarize, the depth of field is right on. You need to do some cropping. You'll always improve the composition if the subject is not centered.
Hi Prashanth, the light on the little flowers is wonderful and warms up the friendly colours. You could choose to do a bit more out of the center, but no more improvement... because you succeed for me :-)! Mich
Love the soft blue tones of the flowers. Everyone on here has some great advice on this, so I'm not going to repeat it. But the DOF is perfect and I personally like the dark tone of this.
This is a beautiful capture - nice colors and DOF. As far as a critique I have to agree with the statements above regarding the positioning of the subject. It's too centered and is trying to drop out of frame. The easiest way to avoid this, if the situation presents again, is to simply tilt your head and turn the camera so the subject fills the frame better. Once again - beautiful - nice work -
but never seen blue one! Thanks for sharing.
