Again 5 images two from the web and three from my own stock images. Three layers of KPT noise and a lot of contrast and color changes As I said this is my once a year post to remind us of the less fortunate in the world. Please take time for a moment of silence for the people of the world who may not have a filling meal of the freedom for religious and political freedom.

I apologise for up loading this again. It just did'ent feel right. I really wanted the woman and child to be clearer and shaper. I wanted to show the pride in the womans face and fear in the childs eye's more.

Ok ...we'll let you get away with it this time...one more and we will be at your door...it won't be pretty. Once again nice work and it shows how much we do take for granted.

Personally I prefered the previous image, but this one still conveys the power and level of thought provoking ideas. Very well done Clayton.

This came up in the voting booth just now. I found it very appealing. It held my gaze for quite a while. It got a high score which I rarely give out anymore. I really like this. The blending of the images is super. The color theme really portrays the message of the image. Great work.

Hey there. Good on you for reminding us, especially at this time of year. I saw a show the other night, about Papua New Guinea. It was so sad to see how these people were dying of Aids, the hospitals couldn't even give them food, let alone medicine. Then there was the chronic under education, and ignorance and fears. It was very sad, made me realise that paying a dollar more for petrol, or running out of milk or having more things just has no importance...really. Thanks for the thoughts.

Then we have to stop taking their natural resources and bombing their countries. All the money spent destroying Iraq and Afghanistan could have fed billions of the world's hungry. Silence is not enough, we should be screaming at our government (US) to stop the carnage not just in those countries, but in Somalia, Nigeria, etc.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Terrific work with an important message - a very well done combination. I like the way that your images do not force a message but invite viewers to see for themselves.

I guess the letters I'm being distracted by are some kind of watermark?

Anyway, this is very nice - in a chilling sort of way. I am not keen on the framing, but the main image still has impact and your blending is lovely. I don't know enough about manipulations to say anything intelligent really, but it seems to me that this is very well done indeed.

Why 'We are the people' rather than 'We the people'? Just curious...

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
