Cant believe i havent come across you before - what a vivd, strong gen. What a gallery as well. You do well seeing things from a different perspective.
The surface textures are good here and the silhouette in the foregroud adds to the composition. I do have some critisisms though - the land seems to drop a away in the background and the colour of the ground is a little monotonus. I would prefer some grass etc. The water you have down to a tee - the colour is perfect and in harmony with the rest of the picture and the ripples + reflections kick ass (or arse as we say in England).
Good stuff (as always it seems.).
Yes, the image seems somewhat odd since the horizon does not extend to the distance it usually would in real life. I don't know why it does this. It seems to drop off as if what you see is a lake in the mountains.
I didn't want it to look like this but I didn't know how to fix that. I thought it might be the zoom function or planet radius but that didn't seem to be it.
I'm a beginner to terragen so you're going to probably find a alot of flaws in my work. Not to mention, I have no idea how to make grass or snow yet.
are those more downloadable updates or filters that let you do that?
Anyway, thanks everyone for leaving kind comments. They're appreciated very much.
I'm uploading my photography on deviantart.com as well so you'll start seeing some of my same stuff on that site aswell. If I think people like it enough, i might buy a subscription and sell my artwork on it.
Btw, I water marked this, so there is no confusion as to whether this was ripped. I also have a profile on deviantart named glassocean where I also posted this same picture with a different frame.
