I don't photoshop . So what you see is what I shoot
Love the composition. There is a little over and under exposure with lost deep shadows and highlights which to me take away from the picture as a whole. This is a shame, because as pet pictures go this is one of the better ones. I might try reducing the overall contrast and just enhance the mid ranges to keep the structure. Nice colouring and good detail - his nose is amazing.

I generally look at peoples pet pictures, shrug and leave it at that. This one is good. I tend to agree with Chris (above) about the lost highlights, but otherwise, this is quite artistic. I like the way the different shades of basically the same colour all work together, and you got the framing right.
