Only the small area (above the left eye) reveals the fact this is an illustration. Otherwise it looks like the real Teddy. This must have taken quite some time and effort. The result is fabulous Lisa.
This is adorable, and really must have taken some skill. I actually still have my childhood teddy bear. It's strapped in the back seat of my ride, and goes everywhere with me. :) tigs=^..^=
...or someone who can illustrate it so faithfully, Lisa. It's very cool how something so small and simple can evoke feelings of security, family, warmth, and memories of youth... I'm told, anyway. I have no personal recollection of having a teddy (this kind of teddy... I'm... a male). Perhaps that's why I became an international man of mystery, a lone wolf, with nerves of steel, ice in my veins, able to sacrifice small children, old women, and the occasional Pakistani cab driver in my quest for world domination. I... um... aahhhmm, okay! Alright! I just wanna pick him up and give him a good squeeze! [oD [oD [oD

I enjoyed all the above comments and I could not help but think of the movie "Ted" and also Radar from M.A.S.H., who claimed to be from Ottumwa, IA. I thought it was a photo at first. Superb work.
Lisa, in my childhood days it was 'not done' that a boy had a teddy bear. I think that times have been changed meanwhile. If I was still a child, think it be would be a wall hanger in my room, not only because of its cuteness but for the given confidence/trust by this small 'friend' as well. Perfectly done!

I have to admit, I was taken by surprise in learning that boys didn't also have teddy bears. Given Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh, I assumed that bears were universal to all children, boys and girls alike.
:( ... You boys missed out! Nothing beats a big snuggly hug from a teddy bear.
I have to say a teddy was not my childhood toy but I have fond memories of them because of my youngest child (who is a girl). That brings a real soft wonderful feeling back to me. This is an excellent illustration Lisa. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
My goodness...this is so well done and realistic and the expression on this little bear creates fond childhood memories and the bond between teddy and child...great work, Lisa.
Love it. :-) I thought for a moment you had one of my bears, then realised I don't even have a bear like this... I've just had so many bears over the years I got confused.
He is an adorable cuddly bear - well done indeed :) He looks very appealing and anyone would love him.
I have three sons and they all had teddy bears. There was Brown Bear, Little Ted, Big Bear, Teddy Bear, Ted Bear. One of them still lives in our spare bedroom waiting for it's owner's infrequent visits home from the other side of the world. The bear is actually becoming quite excited because it knows there is a visit planned for May. He really should be called fredbear as his hair is very thin now so I keep a little blanket over him to keep him warm. I wonder who is the daftest - my son, his bear or me !
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
