This years rains have slowed for now, and the wildflowers seem very happy with the abundant rains and the sunny skies. The blue flowers are lupins, I think. Not sure about the pink ones. The border is compliments of information provided by Cornelius.

Thanks for your comments

Wonderful flower shot Dorothy - you are right about the blue ones and I'm not familiar enough with California wildflowers to identify the pink one. A lovely Fx2 post.

The red and blue together work so well for this photo. The rains bring some beauty for sure.

How incredibly lovely! After living with the drought, I hope that you, too, are drinking in and enjoying the gifts of the rains. This sunny and wonderfully colorful photographs seems to indicate that you are.

Dorothy, I like to join me in Kathy's comment about identifying the foofs. It's not that important, because beauty prevails above giving them a name, and your image shows beauty! A very lovely and well presented post. Thanks!

Blue lupines and pink owls clover make a really beautiful combination. But, as Cornelius says, identifying the flower is not as important as identifying its loveliness! This is such a sunny cheerful image!
