I shot this one this morning just before the rain started while walking the dogs up in the hills. Typically the rainy season is over in mid-March, but this year has been a little different. The State Water Resources Board has declared that the drought in California is over. I just checked the local weather report, and there is a 60% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. After that, there is no rain predicted. My ark is built to specifications. Oh, that's my nearest neighbor's house. My house is about a quarter mile to the right.

All comments are appreciated.

When outdoors, an umbrella wouldn't probably be helpful, so I suppose that your dogs and you got soaking wet, Dorothy.
Great dramatic shot however. With respect to the bad weather conditions, it's an excellent one!

I've enlarged your image six times bigger than its full screen size, but I couldn't discover your succulent collection on the deck of your mansion however, ☺ ☺ ☺ .

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

You live in an "overpopulated" area Dorothy! All hills are nicely covered with green and look beautiful Nice capture of the threatening sky too.

I love these storm photos of yours! You are so skilled at capturing the magic, mood, and magnitude of the storm. The light shift from the storm outward is sensational. And the elevation is breathtaking.
