It's raining again, but there was a brief cessation of the rain this morning at the lake.

Note the vegetation in the lake. When the drought started and the lake was dry, they brought in some heavy equipment to clear the vegetation and clear some cars and picnic tables that were at the bottom of the lake. Two years ago the climatologists predicted major precipitation because of the El Nino effect. Unfortunately the drought continued. Fast growing trees and brush as high as 20 feet tall were well established last summer. They brought in some goats to graze, but they left the heavy brush and trees alone. This winter and spring the lake filled, but some of the taller vegetation is still thriving.
