Not many flowers are blooming around here unless they're getting watered. A few of the native plants are trying, but with no rain since April, record high temperatures (117 degrees F last week) and no rain expected until October, this is as foofy as it gets around these parts.

A foofy of a different kind I call it Dot, good details, so good that I would not want to pick, for fear of a prick. Hopefully you will get some relief sooner than later for the heat wave. tigs=^..^=

I like your capture of the thistle-flower, a lot! And I admire its will to live (117?! Sheesh!)

But the bokeh, on large screen, is a little dizzying for me.

This Foof tries to survive. The drought is not only her enemy, but the living good in her area as well.
Good that she has protected herself with prickly 'weapons'.

Looks like a thistle to me, might have been beautiful in its day. You got a nice shot of it anyway!
