I created a new chess set in 3D Max 7. Unlike my old one, I created the rook this time. My old one was kind of odd anyway...the knight looked like it had a side profile of a Doberman Pinscher. This one I am pleased with, and created with much more experience under the belt.

Nice job, the nice red wood and gold looks like a chess set the prince of Dubai might play... Want to come over and teach me?

The easyest way to get a critique out of someone is to think about what they didn't tell you.

Nice work! I gotta tell my chess story here, bear with me........ Years ago, I was returning home on a train from Chicago, where I had been visiting family. I was 12 years old, and had purchased a new chess set while in Chicago, and was wanting to play someone to ease the boredom of the train trip. A young gentleman a few seats down agreed to play me a game, so I set up the board, and then he proceeds to beat me very quickly. 2 more games, same outcome, I was devastated. Turned out the guy was the new champion of some chess competition he had been to in Chicago. I still get tormented about that one from family members.

Are you speaking of THIS fine work of yours? It's nice to see the whole set up and your work is always impeccable.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
