I was watching several dragons like this one, with the black spots on their wings, flying around me as I kayaked a creek last weekend. It's a real challenge to make one's eyes slow that motion down but, when it happens, those spots make for a terrific miniature acrobatic dance. Besides chowing down on mosquitos--an activity for which I love these fliers--their coloring and acrobatics are a pleasing addition to any study of nature. Well captured, Robert, belonging in an encyclopedia of our insect world.
