That light is really intense! If I wasn't blind before, than I am now :)
I thought at first if you softened it, then it wouldn't detract so much attention from the great work you've done with the waves. But then I realized that the intensity of the light drives your eyes to look at the darker side of the landscape, making sure we pay attention to the whole picture and not just that light!
I reckon it's cool!

Interesting picture, I feel alone on a dark, deep and scary ocean........but the picture is a very good composition just the same. / HJ.
