Heeey ... almost ... almost, that is ... forgot that you do photography as well.
Ok, going to be bold here ... buckle up ...
Good composition, Rachel.
Methinks though, that in terms of colour balance/white balance as well ... the time of day you shot this one at, lead to some overexposure and distortion of colour. So ...
Shoot at another time of day, perhaps?
And delve into your camera's manual, as I am sure that you have an option for Exposure Compensation. With a steady hand, and/or placing your camera on something ... using the self-timer ... believe you could then blend two of the adjusted exposures if need be.
Can clearly see the appeal of this setting/scene. Has a very nice overgrown, wild and carefree look and feel ... but, not overly so. As the individual elements of foliage still maintain a semblance of order in forms, shapes and colour.
A revisit then, maybe?
And as always, just some thoughts contained in the above.
Thanks for sharing one of your 'wonderlands' with us. :o)
Oh my goodness. This is beautiful. I love how the red leaves on the top right are really bright in that dark bit, which really brings it out. The leaves on the ground are a bit bright...it might be cool if the walk-way was darker to really accent the grass around it. Overall, it's absolutely gorgeous picture!
