'Count Hummula' w/his black-hooded cape, ghostly eyes, long claws and a blood-red neck (but just one 'fang'), coming in for a night-time feed! (no triggers, strobes or multi flashes, not PS'd; f2.8 and 1/125th)
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
REALLY adorable! I am constantly amazed at shots of these birds! I never see them in my area, and hear they move so fast! This is really an excellent shot! Good luck in the contest!
Let's see ? I like the clever tongue in cheek title ... the connection to Bela Lugosi is unmistakeable. Like your commentary and most of all I'm dazzled by yet another marvelous capture of one of these jewels. Both you and Gregg (eggray) have set the standard for Hummingbird photos and believe me you both have raised the bar extremely high. Beautiful work my friend ... it doesn't get much better than this.
Is this a digital photo, or a scan? If it's digital, I'd like to know what kind of camera you're using...it's done a great job of capturing the bird in motion. We've got hummingbird feeders at our house, and I've tried photographing them with my digital, but it's really too slow to capture detail like that. Beautiful picture!
