The lighthouse at the base of Diamondhead, not far from Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. There are a couple other views of this one on Caedes, but this was taken semi-early in the morning from between Diamondhead Road and the top of the seaside cliff.

This is good Rick, excellent clarity on the lighthouse and clouds. But I think your composition might have a little more impact if you crop off the bottom left hand corner to off-center the lighthouse which in turn would put the rule of thirds on a diagonal so you would still get to keep that. I love the contrast of that bright red roof against the beautiful blue of the sky! You caught that cloud in the perfect position too!

The diagonal of the hill in front of the light house really gives this a lot of Zing for the money. That it was in shadow and more like a silhouette is super. The cloud to the right echoing the shape of the tree also on the right in shadow is a subtle touch that adds up to one great composition, in my humble opinion!

I like the angle on this one very much, plus the fact that the lighthouse is in the light and the foreground is in the dark.
