Taken 10-19; this butterfly and flower against the sky represent fall colors in Tucson because most leaves don't fall if at all until late Nov/Dec (then the new leaves come out in Feb!).
Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease. Flossies gallery's here
Wow that's really crisp! And brightly colored too! I think I may have cropped it just a little... probably up to where the stem turns green but mostly cause that's a lot of blue. Excellent clarity and color there Rick! Great capture!

~ Geez Rick I did a double-take on this one...I've been working on taking out the bkg on a shot I took of the same b-fly (Gulf Fritillary) on a similar flower because it's against the pool screen, lol. Wish I had the beautiful blue sky bkg you had in this shot...nice work!

The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson
I see three subjects to this shot, and they all compliment one another very well. :o)
