Looking north, the city is in the shadow of the Tucson Mtns but the Santa Catalina Mtns are still lit by the fading sun. Downtown buildings and the UofA are just out of the picture in lower right (sorry!). About 120 miles NW is Phoenix.

I drove a truck for 19 years plus and passed through this city many times. I always enjoyed driving through Tucson but not Phoenix. Good capture of the city.

Wow, good mixture of colors on the horizon, nicely exposed by the mountains. Good work :)

I remember that shadow the mountains cast on the city. :) It's really cool to see those deep ravines accentuated by the setting sun. Thanks again Rick for the reminiscence. Nice shot.

You mean to tell me that the miles between Tucson and Phoenix aren't completely filled yet? The way things were growing when I was out there, I thought for sure that would certainly be the case.

Nice night shot here. It's a lovely town.
