Wow, I got to think about this one for a bit and get back to you...Ok I'm back. Wow, very frantic and nervous energy here. Did you have an extra coffee? Could probly sell to ZZ-top. :^]
LOL@alpha... he was bouncing off the walls by the looks of it.. lol... interesting flame Larry... you have a bit of a spiral squiggly thingy going there.. which is good... gives the feel of been sucked down that black hole... nice colours too..
One element that really, really stands out for me, is the illusion of glass or metal in the upper right hand portion of the image. The slight shimmering or reflective quality is most apparent in that area of the fractal and that blows me away. Almost reptillian in look.
Forgive me if this is overstepping the bounds of commentary, but, with this image it seems like you are stepping out of your 'comfort zone.?' A rather bold and ... welcomed progression in your work. Nice.
Very interesting Apophysis flame Larry....it has more of a look of an illustration than anything else to me. I can honestly see this on the cover of an old Sci Fi magazine. And I should know, they were all over my house growing up, my mother read them incessantly.
