Taken with Canon Powershot A540, minor postwork done with Photoshop cs2 Just a pic I took yesterday of my brother in-law and one of three baby squirrels he rescued. My nephew is in the tree removal business and found the babies inside a hollow tree. The mother ran away so he took it upon himself to raise them till they're big enough to release. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

This is a great human interest photo Larry. It also reminds me of my Dad. He did the same thing although he never brought his 'baby' inside. It never left his side in the yard. He could be found outside with a squirrel perched on hi shoulder. You did a nice job of capturing this. Thanks for sharing it with me ;=)

Thanks everybody. The only problem is he doesn't want to let them go now. His wife says no way are they staying in the house. LOL!

You can't fool me. You did not make this with Fractal Explorer!
Still it is a cute photo. Hope the house doesn't get wrecked.

Since they have a good loving home this seems to have turned out ok, but as a certified Wildlife Habitat Steward, I just want to remind everyone that even when a mommy critter leaves her babies, she will ALWAYS come back for them. Even if you touch them. It is a myth that if you touch them that she will abandon them. All mammals love their babies very much!
