Further work on the new textural abstract approach, this time I took it to the beach. I hope this goes over as well as "Foreign".
Plage is French for beach.
Defiantly foreign ;-). Nice, I really like all the different textures, looks almost like a painting in ways, but then in other ways it doesn't. Great work.
I know this now. Every man gives his life for what he believes. Every woman gives her life for what she believes. Sometimes people believe in little or nothing yet they give their lives to that little or nothing. One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. And then it is gone. But to sacrifice what you are and live without belief, that's more terrible than dying.

I think the edges and textures are a little bit too sharp, and the contrast between the purple and the off-yellow is unsettling. I really like the way it goes from 3D to 2D between the bottom and the top, whether intentional or no. With a little bit of tweaking on the colors and less focus on the textures, this would be one of my favorites.
Beautiful. I love the effect, and textures. It almost seems like textile art. It's on my desktop right now.......................thanx, and great work, Amaris
Looks like an oil painting with the textured look you've achieved. Somewhat 3-D as well with the way the grasses and reeds stand out in the image. I like the shadows you've added for that extra touch of realism. Love the pale colours. Very nicely done and a great image Bob.
