The result of paying close attention to color, without detriment to the light and shadow. Looks rather futuristic to me... great tactile sense on the obelisk, you wanna reach out and touch it.

Forgot to mention this, and some of you may appreciate it:
This image is composed of two other images, which each took approximately 30 hours to render at 1280x1024. 2 hours to set it up and 2 hours in post editing.

dude this is really one of the best computer images i have ever seen...its really great and the setting is like a disco.....very nice mr.wiley lol =)

i have come to believe that the whole world is nothing but an enigma.a harmless enigma that is made terrible by are own mad attempt to find is underlieing truths.
I just wanna say great job. It's got great texture and good layout. but only one thing i can find wrong, and thats the shadowing it's slightly off. with the light angle you have either the top is off or the bottom on the ground. see what i mean. By no means any offence. Just one person perpective.peace

i kinda thought it was off too but it's what the program insisted on rendering-- so either it's like that b/c of the refraction of the obelisk, or the program is faulty. thank you!

Very, very nice sci-fi desktop. It would seem to be a cross between Early Trek and 2001. Great colors and proportion/perspective. Thank-you.

I just saw this on the "front page" in the three featured works.
It's just great. I downloaded it as a desktop and it looks absolutely super. I'm glad you made it into the perms and it goes to show you that the c index means nothing when it comes to the choosing of fine art, of which I think this is an example!
