B/W? Almost got them Teresa , but that pesky duck is still visible on the right! The clone stamp is a lot more versatile with its blending capabilities than the patch tool. With the clone stamp you can select your brush type which makes blending quite easy with just a little practice. I usually use a soft round brush set to normal to blend the stamp. This way you can avoid the noticeable hard edges that the patch tool creates. Hope this explanation helps! Looks much better Teresa and I think that patch tool would be more appropriate for non-textured backgrounds;-)
Thanks everyone for your nice comments, though this darn swan almost got away from me! ;-) I thought I saw part of the duck's tail last night, but just thought I was tired. Didn't see the rest until viewing the image on my desktop monitor (that will teach me to use my laptop to edit photos). I may try Darryl's way tonight using the clone stamp.
