Arstists near Chrissy Field in San Francisco make these "rock sculptures." I've always found them interesting, but this is the first time I actually had my camera on me.
Very cool photograph Teresa...this would be a great one to play with in photoshop! Really like the detail of the sculpture, but feel that more attention could be drawn to it by manipuating the background;-)
I love the sculpture too but i think you in the first place should try a different approach to the composition. I feel that the mountain lies in the position that calls for the most attention. I'm not sure what manipulation Darryl is thinking of but if you could get the field of depth down so only the sculpture and beach were in focus then I think this omposition would be extremely cool. :) I guess you can take the shot in the evening with manual settings or semi automatic with as small f-value as posible
if some scouts came across this they will be might confused....hmmm which way did they go... nice capture, if u like this one look up Andy Goldsworthy u might like his work.
good cap : )
I know these rock sculptures well...one guys does some amazing things with the rocks on the beach just below Ghirardelli...things you couldn't possibly think were possible....tiny rocks at weird angles holdin massive ones at even weirder angles...
I like the shot, but I spent several years in the City, and seeing Angel Island in the background, takes me back...I'm just surprised that there weren't any Polar Bears out swimming!!!
