Sunrise near a shrine reveals the first visitor of the day enjoying a moment of solitude before the cares of the day descend. I just couldn't bring myself to interrupt his solitude, so I shot this photo and moved on to enjoy my own peaceful moment. Shot with a Olympus Camedia c3030 Digital.

#11 in the South Louisiana Series

Knew it was yours at first glance. I love the way the overarching trees disappear into the morning mist. Wonderful shot Regmar.

Excellent capture, and I believe the B&W really adds to the overall impression and atmosphere.

Very nice photo. I like the fog and the black and white, it makes it that more powerful. Good job.

What a beautiful and reflective image. The use of black and white film only makes this a more reflective image. 10x10 and in my Favorites.

This is something I love. Sitting tranquil with a cup of cofffee or a pepsi just taking in the scenic view around me.

This is an amazing photograph. Top marks from me. I especially enjoy how the trees seem to "domino" inward in the top right-hand corner. Keep up the good work.

Excellent job with the B&W! The lack of color really sets a distinct mood for the scene. I couldn't imagine the picture any other way.

His body position seem to would indicate that his stay there will be brief. That adds a bit of action to an otherwise static scene. A good one as well.

Handmaiden to history, chronicler of the mind and the heart, writing is humankind’s most far-reaching creation, it’s forms and designs endless. During the U.S. civil war, for example, a union soldier’s letter home was written in two directions to save scarce paper. In India an artisan made such limitation a virtue by inking an article’s bylines on grains of rice. And the words you are now reading were written on a computer equipped with some 800 styles of type. Yet the purpose of writing remains unchanged: to convey meaning, whether playful, mundane, or profound.

There's a feeling of melancholy in this exquisite capture. Beautifully composed with those glorious Louisiana trees with their hanging moss, which adds much beauty. The statuary in the background is lovely in the mist. I like how ones eyes follow the line of chairs off into the fog/mist. I can see why this man is having his coffee in this cemetery. Such peace and serenity surrounds him. Thanks Reg, for this visually appealing image...excellent!
