I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.

Yeah, it is good. Thr lighting angle brings out the textures on the surface, you filled the frame nicely, exposure is right on and the water droplets add a third dimension. Tack sharp with DOF just right. Many macros are spoiled by cluttered backgrounds, but the black doesn't get in the way and the contrast heightens the feather itself. Excellent result!

That is AMAZING!! I really like it. I actually thought it was a gum leaf or something similar when I first saw it but now I look at it closely I can see it's a feather. Really superb!!

Hi there! Strange how I had not seen this posting of yours!! And it was on the main page today! How gorgeous this is!! You are impressed with yourself? Well, I think you have every right to , my friend!! If I did this, I would feel pretty good too. This is going to grace my desktop for a few days, I like it so much. The colour is so very gentle and the black bg fits pefectly and of course the droplets are fantastic.I think of all of you down NEw Orleans way so often..I hope all is as well as can be!! Verena
