Cypress trees (a relative of the cedar) live in water and marshy areas. They breathe by raising these structures above the water to get carbon dioxide. The textures of these growths is really remarkable. A couple nights ago I took my camera for a visit to a local park, and this is one of the beautiful things I saw.

What a unique capture of the infamous cypress trees. I am always fascinated by the way Mother Nature designed these tree to live in/near the water.
This is such a clear shot with the brown wood of the 'knees' against the blue of the water. The reflections in the water are a lovely touch. Good color, great clarity cool composition and high quality as usual Reg.
To my favorites this goes as well.
Many thanks for sharing this with me :=)

Only Mother Nature knows what she has carved with this image. It looks like a sculpture and your mind can decide what it depicts. I see a partial hand reaching from the deep. I like the light shining on the subject. The blurry/wavy reflections adds to the mood. Good post Regmar.

Well, I turned my monitor into portrait mode just to have this one as a background. Superb.
